Message from the

University President

The University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) believes that publishing is an important communication channel to inform stakeholders, partners, and the public about significant accomplishments and updates. For this reason, the UIC Institutional Publication is being revived but under a new name – ROSEA.

S. Ma. Marissa R. Viri, RVM, UIC President

As UIC celebrates its 116th foundation anniversary, it continues to promote QUALITY TRANSFORMATIVE IGNACIAN MARIAN EDUCATION (Q-TIME) by consistently delivering integral and holistic education. The ROSEA features how the institution's programs and services in line with Q-TIME are achieved. Among the stories included in this maiden issue are those that bring joy and pride to the UIC community. These are the latest news and events, such as students winning various awards in competitions abroad, DOST-funded research projects, two new course offerings in the graduate school, and the overall state of UIC amid the pandemic.

As the university faces unprecedented disruptions in our usual activities brought about by the coronavirus pandemic, we focus on maintaining and continuously improving the delivery of quality education.

Within the current global/national educational landscape, operating under the so-called "NEW NORMAL" climate, we not only begin, maintain, sustain but continually improve the school's delivery of quality education within the crisis period and beyond so that we move toward a "BETTER NORMAL." In this way, we remain steadfast in forming our students into becoming the ideal Ignacian Marian leaders we envision them to be – responsible global citizens imbued with profound faith in God, inspired by the spirituality of humble service, committed to a continuous search for excellence.

Merry Christmas

and a Prosperous New Year to all!
